Looking for the perfect wedding venue in and around Hartford? Picking the right venue is arguably the hardest and most important decision in the entire wedding planning process. It’s not just the place for your ceremony and reception, but it will also impact how your photos will ultimately look!
Here are my favorite venues from the capital of Connecticut and nearby towns.

The Society Room of Hartford
It kind of doesn’t get much classier and timeless than The Society Room of Hartford. Right in the middle of Hartford, this former bank with endless elegance is one of the most popular venues in Connecticut. The Society Room is not only great for the busiest times of the year but also amazing for weddings in the middle of winter! Their pricing is different based on the season but you can expect to pay $120-$130 per person on average.
Pond House Café in Elizabeth Park
Just a few minutes west of The Society Room is the Pond House Café in Elizabeth Park in West Hartford. Aside from this being a world class wedding venue for small to mid-sized weddings, the park itself is just amazing. The rose garden is incredible in June and the tulip circle shines fully in May. You can have your ceremony in the park or closer to The Pond House, overlooking the pond. The venue can comfortably host around 120-140 guests, depending on whether or not you decide on a buffet or plated service. Prices vary but you can expect prices to start around $7000 for smaller gatherings.
The Atrium at Hartford City Hall
Yes! You can totally rent out the Atrium at City Hall for your wedding! It’s a beautiful spot for a ceremony with incredible natural light, coming down from the ceiling windows. I’d say it’s more ideal for a ceremony but they also offer the space for receptions.
Glastonbury Boathouse
The only waterfront venue on this list in the Glastonbury Boathouse. Overlooking the Connecticut River, this venue is a perfect 50/50 outdoor/indoor venue. You can opt for a ceremony by the river or have it on the observation deck or even inside as a plan b option when the weather does not cooperate. In my opinion these are the best kinds of venues, as they have every option available.
Bond Ballroom
For the last entry on this list, we’re back in downtown Hartford. Bond Ballroom is the ideal venue in Hartford if you’re dreaming of a big ballroom wedding! There is space for over 300 guests, a huge chandelier in the middle of the ballroom, and a very spacious bridal suite. The ballroom is both bright and warm, with large windows the let in tons of natural light during day.
