Weddings at the Barn at the Springs in Springdale, Arkansas
Barn Wedding Venue in Northwest Arkansas
The Barn at the Springs is conveniently located in the northwestern part of Springdale, just a few minutes south of Cave Springs. If you’re looking for a barn wedding venue, this is it! It is arguably one of the better barn wedding venues in Arkansas.
The exterior and interiors all have a cohesive barn look and feel with special touches, like the old barn door that doubles as a wedding cake table. The property is gorgeous — the ceremony area is nicely designed and situated on the property to get wonderful low-angled backlight (see below) for late afternoon ceremonies. The barn has been in the Cash family for decades and my experience communicating with them has been fantastic.

What's included in the wedding rental?
Let‘s starts with my favorites and then discuss what’s kind of expected from a wedding venue. I am not a barn decor type of person but I love the barn door serving tables they include in the rental. It is a cute detail that adds a lot to the vibe of the venue — you know what they say: “the devil is in the details.”
It is also nice that the bridal suite and groom’s room are pretty equal in size. Some venues don’t have a groom’s room and some have one, but way smaller than the bridal suite. Both rooms aren’t huge, but you can easily fit 4-5 bridesmaids or groomsmen in each room. I will also mention that the natural light in the bridal suite is fantastic on a sunny day, the window in the room is south facing and all the light colors in the room bounce that soft light around. The groom’s room is a lot darker! Both rooms are decorated cohesively with the look and feel of the venue.
The Barn at the Springs includes an on-site manager and two staff members to make sure everything runs smoothly on your wedding day. There is a large prep kitchen and the staff handles clean up and break down. In addition, they include tables, linens, ceremony and reception chairs, along with a sound system and decorations. So you can choose to go with what they have or customize to your taste.
The Barn has a few add-on items for $250-$400 each. A mobile bar, a champagne wall, TVs and help with setup and room flips between ceremony and reception.

The best seasons for a wedding
The Barn at the Springs is a versatile indoor and outdoor venue. You can really plan a wedding there for any season and not have to adjust or compensate on your vision too much. From spring to fall you can use the outdoor ceremony area along with the area in front of the main barn doors, guests frequently hang out there during receptions, so you could add cocktail tables there along with decorations. In winter you have two halls that can fit well over 300 guests combined.
My personal opinions and insights for photography
As I mentioned earlier, I am not a barn decor kind of guy. I grew up in a city and have lived in cities most of my life and my minimal personal style reflects that. But I deeply appreciate that the Barn at the Springs is a 100% barn wedding venue. Everything inside and outside epitomizes that atmosphere and speaks barn design language — large and bold decorations, lots of wood, and warm colors.
Photography at the Barn at the Springs
Barns are not bright by design in this one no different. Your photographer will have to use additional lights to get the shots inside, there are no shortcuts. The cocktail hall and bridal suite have windows but the Grand Hall and groom’s room are very dark. The Grand Hall is a long rectangle with large doors in the middle where they typically have the sweethearts table and dance floor — with guests seated on both sides. This means your photographer will probably need multiple lights around the hall.
Now for the outdoor areas! The ceremony area is perfectly places on the property to have wonderful diffused late afternoon light. The porch and lawn areas in front of the barn are also ideal for wedding party photos and sunset wedding photos. It is just a few steps from the Grand Hall so you sneak out during dinner and take those wedding portraits you’ll hang on your wall and be back in 10 minutes.
