Why Get Married In Eureka Springs?

Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is truly a hidden gem when it comes to weddings and elopements. This picturesque town in the Ozarks and its wedding venues offer a unique and enchanting setting. With its charming Victorian architecture, lush gardens, and stunning natural landscapes, Eureka Springs provides the perfect backdrop for romantic ceremonies and memorable receptions. Whether exchanging vows in one of the town's historic chapels, surrounded by blooming dogwoods and redbuds, brides and grooms can create their dream wedding in this idyllic destination. Eureka Springs also boasts a vibrant community of talented vendors from all of Northwest Arkansas. From intimate elopements at Thorncrown Chapel to grand ballroom celebrations at The Crescent Hotel, Eureka Springs is a fantastic choice for an incredible wedding experience!

The Best Seasons For Weddings

Fall is definitely the best choice when it comes to picking a season for your wedding, some venues even have special “October fees” as those dates are usually booked up well over a year in advance. Fall in the Ozarks is just magical! Peak foliage is usually from mid to late October until early November, think Halloween weekend. Summers in Northwest Arkansas can get extremely hot, so unless you’re planning a mostly indoor wedding I wouldn’t recommend July or August. Spring is another beautiful time with milder temperatures. Mid-May is an excellent choice for an outdoor wedding as it’s usually warm enough all night as well. Winters are mostly mild around here with occasional frosts and snowfalls and I think many of the wedding venues actually look great when photographed in winter.

Locations For Wedding Portraits

All of my favorite wedding venues in Eureka Springs have great spots for wedding portraits. But here are a few more in case you want to explore a bit more.

  • Lover’s Leap

  • Blue Spring Heritage Center

  • Spring Street

  • Basin Spring Park

  • Grotto Spring

About Kari Bjorn Photography

portrait of photographer Kari Bjorn in Northwest Arkansas

Hi there! I am Kari Bjorn and I am an Icelandic wedding and engagement photographer. I studied photography at Parsons School of Design and would say my style is rooted in candid photojournalistic photography with a splash of editorial portraiture. Since 2014, I’ve shot over 150 weddings and hundreds of parties, galas, and other happy gatherings! In addition, I have been lucky to have worked with brands such as Vanity Fair, InStyle, UN Women, and Plug and Play. One of my favorite things about weddings is to create one-of-a-kind heirloom images that truly represent the couple, based on the story of their relationship.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
