The Ideal Wedding Venue for Couples Looking to be on the Water

Tyde at Walnut Beach in Milford is one of the newest wedding venues in Connecticut, offering a stunning waterfront backdrop for couples looking to celebrate their wedding day. This venue features minimal, but charming outdoor spaces with views of Long Island Sound, perfect for both ceremonies and receptions.

Capacity and cost

Officially, the venue can host up to 220 guests, but I would recommend keeping your guest count a little bit below 200 so that everyone is comfortable.

Pricing starts at $13,000 for a 100 person wedding on a weekday. You can expect to pay about $23,000 for a similarly sized wedding on a prime Saturday. This includes catering and their $1500 ceremony fee.

The design

The modern yet inviting interior is designed to accommodate for the most intimate gatherings as well as larger celebrations. Being so close to the beach, there will be endless natural light for photos — both on the outdoor patio as well as inside the venue, as they have large south-facing windows!

There is definitely a sense of a classical modern style inside, but couples can easily decorate the spaces to fit their desired look and style.

The venue opened in March 2024 after a few years of construction where the restaurant Costa Azurra used to be and closed in 2021. The new owners added a 2nd floor to the building in addition to impressive makeovers of the 1st floor spaces.

The 2nd floor balcony serves as a great area for your cocktail hour, it is also perfect for an overhead shot if your ceremony is taking place on the lower but larger patio.

The bridal suite is one of my favorites. Most of the venue is painted white, light gray, or ivory — and the bridal suite has a totally different look and feel. Blue accented with gold, it works beautifully well!
