A Wedding Proposal In Osage Park In Bentonville

Bentonville has so many incredible options for photo shoots. Osage Park opened in 2021 and has proved itself amongst photographers to be one of the best the city has to offer. It is a beautiful blend of constructed nature, so to say. The boardwalk circles around the park and offers wide open spots with views of Thaden Field along with super secluded options that make you feel like you’re not a few minutes from Downtown Bentonville.

Dallton reached out to me on pretty short notice saying he wanted to propose to his then-girlfriend, Cindy, next week. I had an open evening the following week and we were on. He had the ring and his outfit picked out but wanted to moment captured and some advice on where to propose. He told me he had made dinner reservations in Bentonville so I gave him a few options near downtown. He thought Crystal Bridges would be too crowded but loved the idea of Osage Park, especially when I mentioned that they had some quiet corners I had shot at before.

We disguised it as a portrait shoot that he had booked as part of their date night and started off with regular couples portraits. When we got to the location I had told him to propose in I asked Cindy for a few solo headshots and asked her to look away. This gave Dallton the perfect opportunity to get down on one knee and have the ring ready. As soon as I saw Dallton ready I backed away and let things fall into place, and of course, she said yes!
