Vendor Spotlight: With Great Love Events

I recently sat down with Emily Wren and chatted about what she’s got on the horizon in 2024. I have worked with Emily and her business, With Great Love Events a few times now and it has always been an awesome experience for me and my team—and I can see she takes amazing care of her clients. She is also the fastest email responder ever!!

One of the rising trends in weddings is the wedding weekend, which is a service Emily has recently started offering, and I was curious to learn more about.

What is a wedding weekend exactly?

A wedding weekend is an extended wedding celebration that typically spans over two or more days, allowing couples and their guests to immerse themselves in a series of curated experiences and festivities.

How is it different from a traditional wedding day?

Unlike traditional weddings that are confined to a single day, a wedding weekend offers a more relaxed and immersive experience. It provides an opportunity for couples to host multiple events, each with its own distinct theme, or experience, creating a richer tapestry of memories for both the couple and their guests. Lasting at least 2 days and extending out as far as the couple would like.

Where does the wedding weekend concept come from?

This is a trend that I have seen growing in Northwest Arkansas where more and more couples are inquiring with me for weddings never having stepped foot in Arkansas, wanting to offer their guests an unforgettable experience. When most or all guests are traveling across states and maybe even countries, the couple wants to leave a lasting impression on all who attend. Thus, a wedding weekend was born!

What does a wedding weekend typically include?

A wedding weekend is a canvas for creativity, adventure, and new experiences. Common components include a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, the main wedding ceremony, and a farewell brunch. Even beyond that, it may include a walking food tour through downtown Rogers, a mixology class at Foxtrail Distillery, a guided waterfall hiking/mountain biking tour by The Bike Inn, a flower arrangement class hosted by Earth & Thorn, or a themed bridal luncheon at 21c to name a few. Each event can have its own theme, décor, and ambiance, providing a diverse and memorable experience for everyone involved.

What kind of couple is the wedding weekend for?

The wedding weekend concept is ideal for couples who want to break away from the traditional wedding mold and create a unique and immersive experience for themselves and their guests. It appeals to those who prioritize experiences over things, and cherish the idea of spending quality time with their loved ones over an extended period.

How much does a wedding weekend cost?

The cost of a wedding weekend can vary widely depending on factors such as the number of events, guest count, venue choice, and the overall scale of the celebration. We work closely with couples to tailor packages that align with their vision and budget. Our coordination fee starts at $2000 and includes scheduling, organizing, and coordination of all experiences and elements.
