The Best intimate Wedding Venues in Connecticut

Looking for wedding venues in Connecticut for your smaller and more intimate wedding? Not inviting a million people, your mom’s co-workers and people from collage you barely speak to anymore? Here are my 6 favorite wedding venues that are perfect for small to mid-size weddings.

Table of contents:

Roseland Cottage

Built in 1846, Roseland Cottage is a gorgeous (and pink) Victorian house in Woodstock, CT. The venue offers 8-hour rentals for up to 150 guests for tented events, but is more ideal for smaller gatherings of less than 100. You can have about 60 folks over for a seated dinner reception in the house, for example.

Pricing is also fairly affordable, you can expect to pay about $2,200 to $2,500. They offer micro wedding and elopement packages for 15 or fewer guests for less than $1000!

Interlaken Inn

Interlaken Inn is a beautiful spot if you’re planning on hosting a wedding weekend with your closest family and friends. What’s better than a weekend on the lake?! A welcome party on Friday, your wedding on Saturday, and then a relaxing Sunday on Wononskopomuc Lake. The venue has a capacity to host up to 200 guests but their 30-80 person package is an awesome option for couples looking for something more intimate.

Pricing starts at $3,500 and couples can expect to pay about $15,000 for the all-inclusive experience for about 60 guests.

Westbrook Inn

Speaking of all-inclusive intimate wedding packages. Westbrook Inn, right between New Haven and New London on Long Island Sound has a few options based on your budget.

A super intimate elopement starts at $1,195 for just the couple. For all-inclusive smaller weddings, they offer a 20 person package starting at $6,000, and their weekend package is $20,000, which includes stay for up to 20 guests and capacity for more guests on the wedding day.

Tarryville Park and Mansion

Tarryville Mansion in Danbury, CT, is more geared toward small and mid-size weddings as opposed to micro weddings and elopements. The beautifully restored mansion has a guest capacity for about 120-150 guests for mixed indoor and outdoor events. The venue is open year round but really shines between May and October when the grapevine tunnel in the ceremony area is in bloom.

Pricing ranges from $1,700 to $5,000, and is based on which day of the week you selects and time of year. Pricing can also increase for weddings close to the capacity of the venue.

Green Haven

A true micro wedding venue in Pomfret in Northeastern Connecticut, Green Haven is definitely green and a reasonably affordable venue for couples looking to host a small wedding. Like most of the venues on this list, Green Haven is more ideal in the warmer months when you can spend most of your wedding day outside.

Pricing starts at $500 for elopements but couples planning a small wedding can expect to pay about $3,300 to $3,800 for a full-day package which includes a wedding suite, a coordinator, and tables and chairs.

The Hartford Club

Arguably the only venue on this list within any of the metro areas here in CT, The Hartford Club has 10 beautiful banquet rooms available for weddings of all sizes. The total capacity of the venue is over 300 but you can easily reserve one or two rooms for your small wedding. They offer in-house catering, and although you’ll mostly be indoors, they have a patio for ceremonies or your cocktail hour, for example.

Pricing starts at $850 and then you can expect to pay $85-$100 per guest. Their pricing does differ based on which day of the week you choose, and as always, Saturdays are most expensive.
